Kobal Consulting is an independent IT consultancy founded by Peter Witney, an experienced infrastructure specialist and technical architect.
I spent 25 years working in NHS IT — a high-risk, highly regulated environment where there was rarely enough money or resource to do everything we wanted to.
Over the years, I worked across almost every part of the infrastructure — networks, servers, virtual machines, applications and, later, cloud services.
For over a decade, I acted as the infrastructure technical authority: advising project managers and solution architects, reviewing designs, challenging proposals and approving technical solutions.
Kobal grew out of that experience: the idea that good IT consultancy doesn't need to be complicated. Sometimes an organisation simply needs an experienced, independent person to look at a problem, ask the right questions and help work out what makes sense.
